a little quilt
It was a joy and a delight to watch Izza select fabrics from my scrap basket and then sew her first (of hopefully MANY) quilt top!
an apron
I have made many aprons, including this one for my mom (being modeled by Hannah), but never one for myself..... perhaps it's time :)

wacky
I made this wacky log cabin table runner this summer as a wedding gift, wishing the couple wonderfully wacky life together.
This freelance log cabin block has also become one of my new favorites.

hymnals
I have had the wonderful opportunity to help with assembling mission quilts at Good Shepherd. Several of the women complained of sore backs while hunched over tables, so wha-lah! this OT asked if there were any OLD hymnals. What a difference a few inches can make.
scrappy
This is a quilt that I made this summer out of precious scraps. It now covers Izza's bed.
I spent nearly the entire weekend working on a quilt for our bed. I am thankful that I was able to devote precious time to work on it, and I am now starting to assemble the top!
I can see that quilting could become a bit of an addiction. :)

happy new year
It's been ages since I have blogged.... I'm now back and anxious to share what I create! I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of everything that I have made since I left off last. I may go back through old pictures and will make every attempt to capture & share my creations.
Izza is wearing her Christmas dress that I made out of super soft red corduroy.

bittersweet good-byes
June 1st was the last day of my career as an occupational therapist at Gundersen Lutheran in LaCrosse. I made a little something for each of my dear co-workers: jewelry pouches for the gals and coasters for the guys.
